Movies.
And who doesn’t enjoy going to the movies? It’s like seeing another life before your eyes or maybe that’s just how I see it. Well anyway, I just got a text message from an old friend inviting me to watch movies this weekend. And it got me thinking. I have been watching movies with friends or sometimes alone but never with a boyfriend. (And when I say never, I mean 6 long months. I’ll let you in our tragic love story some other day.) It is very lonely to sit in a cold box-like place, hear people awww (or maybe shout, depending on the movie’s genre) about the flick and the closest you could grab for comfort is the bag of popcorn on your left hand. Sad, isn’t it?
But hey, we single girls should not mourn on the facts stated above! Yes it can be sad sometimes but don’t you know that according to Liz Tuccillo’s How To Be Single, her first rule is: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FRIENDS. Because your bunch of friends are there to accompany you in every movie worthy day.
And watching movies alone won’t make you a loser. I have tried watching a movie alone myself. It was the time where I was yearning for space and freedom. I drove to the nearest mall and bought a movie ticket. I cried, I laughed and enjoyed the movie. I went home with a smile on my face. It is fun being single after all. :)
I am not really sure if I am making sense here but what I am trying to say is that to be single gives you the freedom to watch whatever movie/s you may want in wherever place in whenever time.
